TV Mount Checklist

Compatibility

VESA & Weight Match The bracket holes match the TV, and the mount is rated for the TV's weight. Wall Hardware Match You have the correct screws/bolts for your specific wall (wood studs, concrete, or masonry). TV Bolts & Spacers Check bolt depth. Use spacers to keep bolts from going too deep.

Marking & Drilling

Viewing Height The center of the screen is about eye level when you are seated. Stud Centers Both edges of the stud were located and the exact center was marked for drilling. Level Plate The wall bracket is level before the final bolts are tightened.

Mounting the TV

Cables Connected Power and HDMI cables are plugged into the TV before the final lift. Safe Lift Grip the outer frame only. No thumbs or localized pressure on the glass screen. Safety Locked The security screws or locking tabs are fully engaged and tightened.

Pro Tips & Cautions

The Paper Template It's helpful to tape a paper cutout of your TV to the wall first to verify height and size before drilling.

The Sliding Rule Most rail-style mounts allow the TV to slide horizontally after it's hung. Don't panic if your wall plate is slightly off-center.
